Alexander Volkanovski is targeting a rematch with UFC Featherweight Champion Ilia Topuria next year. Topuria is coming off a knockout victory against Max Holloway at UFC 308. He stopped Holloway in the third round to take his record to 8-0, with six knockouts. That was the first successful defense of his featherweight title, which he acquired after stopping Volkanovski at UFC 298.
