Turki Alalshikh presents superfight offer to Terence Crawford following win over Canelo Alvarez

Terence Crawford silenced the doubters with a statement win over Canelo Alvarez on Saturday, but his era of superfights may not be finished.

To become the first male boxer to win undisputed titles in three separate weight divisions, ‘Bud’ had to overcome the underdog status. Often dismissed as a pound-for-pound great for his alleged lack of personality, the 37-year-old demanded respect with a career-defining unanimous decision victory over a man many consider to be the greatest of his generation in Alvarez.

Retirement talk has been circulating for Terence Crawford, but Turki Alalshikh is hoping to shift the boxers mindset in the near future. Impressed with what he witnessed on September 13, his excellency has presented a new mega fight offer to the new super middleweight champion.

If Crawford competes in the ring again, there are several huge names that would generate excitement on the world stage.

Turki Alalshikh would love to see Terence Crawford collide with a fellow undefeated American.

“Can David Benavidez still make 168 pounds?” Alalshikh said in the aftermath of Crawford’s standout performance against Alvarez.

David Benavidez is scheduled for his very own superfight when he steps into the ring against Anthony Yarde in November.

Having pushed for a fight against Canelo Alvarez several times in the past, Benavidez may finally have a pathway to compete for the undisputed super middleweight title while it’s wrapped around Crawford’s waist.

David Benavidez has been enjoying much success since his move up to light heavyweight, and a win over the powerful Yarde would be a significant feather in his cap.

Despite his success throughout his 30-fight career, arguably nothing would come close to a win over Terence Crawford.

If all goes to plan for Turki Alalshikh, Benavidez would produce a special outing in two months time before accepting a shot at Terence Crawford’s super middleweight throne. Undefeated vs. Undefeated. A true battle of titans.
