They face off in a rematch following their 2021 fight, which became a no-contest after Edwards accidentally poked Belal in the eye. Edwards picked up the belt after beating Kamaru Usman at UFC 278 in 2022. He beat Usman again and defended it against Colby Covington in their last fight.
