The UFC has announced that middleweight champion Khamzat Chimaev (15-0) will defend his belt against former champion Sean Strickland (30-7) in the main event of UFC 328 on May 9 at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey. Chimaev and Strickland have been linked with a fight since their 2022 sparring session at Xtreme Couture, with both men claiming they “humbled” the other.
