Former UFC Featherweight Champion Jose Aldo has officially called time on his UFC career for the second time during an appearance at UFC Rio. Aldo laid his gloves down in the center of the octagon and then waved to the fans with his family. This is the second time he has announced his retirement; he initially stepped away following a decision loss to Merab Dvalishvili at UFC 278 in August 2022.
