In a recent interview, Islam Makhachev cited that he turned down an offer to fight at UFC 324 in January, but is open to returning later in the year, or even holding out for the UFC White House card in June. Makhachev most recently earned the welterweight title over Jack Della Maddalena at UFC 322 in November, making January 24th a fairly quick turn around for an already very active champion.
