It all goes down later tonight (Fri., May 2, 2025) at ”Fatal Fury” LIVE on DAZN pay-per-view (PPV) from Times Square in New York City, New York, as Ryan Garcia makes his long-awaited return to the boxing ring in a special main event showcase against veteran Rolly Romero.
In case you forgot, Garcia hasn’t fought professionally since April 2024 when he decimated undisputed lightweight champion Devin Haney for the biggest win of his career (watch it HERE). Unfortunately for Garcia, he ended up failing multiple drug tests that canceled out his win and resulted in him being suspended from boxing for a year. That suspension has since been lifted and Garcia will now meet Romero on Friday night for the WBA regular welterweight title.
Luckily for boxing fans, Friday’s unique card from Times Square will feature even more firepower. In co-main event action, the aforementioned Haney will be back in action for the first time since his encounter with Garcia when he takes on Jose Ramirez. New York’s own, Teofimo Lopez, will also strap on the gloves as he collides with undefeated Arnold Barboza Jr. for the WBO super lightweight title.
