The tenth and final week of Dana White’s Contender Series’ eighth season took place on Tuesday at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas. The fight promotion features up and coming fighters with an opportunity to earn a UFC contract.
The five-bout fight card was headlined by a middleweight bout between Nick Klein and Heraldo Souza. Klein finished Souza via rear-naked choke in just 37 seconds. The quick finish earned Klein one of the contracts.
Following the event, UFC CEO Dana White announced the fighters that earned their shot in the big show. Four fighters, Jonathan Micallef, Yadier DelValle, Luis Gurule, and Nick Klein, were awarded UFC contracts.
