Conor McGregor breaks up BKFC Spain main event scuffle

A lightweight title bout headlines Saturday’s BKFC Spain event in Marbella, Spain.  Franco Tenaglia and Tony Soto will fight for the vacant title but nearly threw down at Friday’s ceremonial weigh-in.  

McGregor, part owner in BKFC, intervened and got between the two heated fighters to prevent a brawl from ensuing.  

McGregor is expected to return to action early next year but a date has not been finalized.  He’d like to face his original return opponent Michael Chandler but has been entertaining other potential names.  

McGregor hasn’t fought since July 2021.  In the UFC 264 main event against Dustin Poirier, McGregor suffered a broken leg and hasn’t fought since.
