After one last attempt to make the fight happen, Tyson Fury has confirmed that he is moving on from the Anthony Joshua fight talks.
‘The Gypsy King’ is at the tail end of his legendary career in boxing and would love nothing more than to face one of his biggest rivals before his days in the ring are over. But following several failed negotiations, Fury has grown tired of the process and has publicly declared that he is moving away from the potential mega-fight.
Tyson Fury vs. Anthony Joshua looks destined to join the list of blockbuster fights that never came to fruition. Instead of sitting and waiting for ‘AJ’ to agree to fight him, Fury has turned his attention to other fighters.
“I see Eddie [Hearn’s] doing a lot of interviews, trying to twist the narrative. The facts are: you don’t want to fight,” Fury said in a recent post on social media. “If you did, you would be ready to rock and roll, like I am. Tyson Fury has already said a thousand times that he’ll fight anywhere. No problem at all.”
Reports claim the fight has stalled regarding the venue. Anthony Joshua’s team allegedly wants the bout to take place in England, given the fact that the pair are two of the best British boxers of their generation. Tyson Fury’s team reportedly prefer a big show in America, where most of boxing’s greatest, both past and present, are showcased.
“Banging on about England, but he moved to Monaco, and the other freak’s moved to Dubai. It’s not about England so much then, is it, boys? Tell the truth. Turki Alalshikh paid you tens of millions to fight, and you’re still acting like little b*tches. It is what it is.”
“There’s nothing I can do. I can’t make a coward fight, can I? At the end of the day, you’ve shown your true colors. If AJ was any sort of man, he would overrule the sausage, and he’d stand up and fight. But obviously he’s not. And that’s where we are.”
Giving up on the Anthony Joshua debacle, Fury is turning his attention to other potential opponents.
“So, good luck to you. One thing for sure is, I won’t wait for a sausage who’s been knocked spark out by Daniel Dubois. I’ve waited ten years for this and been ready every time. But one thing I won’t be doing is wasting my later years at 38 years old with a freak that doesn’t want to fight.”
“So, I will move on. And there’s plenty of world champions out there who do want to fight, who do want to make some money. So, I’ll be giving them a knock. So, there’s plenty of men.”
Tyson Fury ended his update with a message for Eddie Hearn and Anthony Joshua.
“This is going nowhere, as always. Ten years later, still in the same boat. Still nowhere. Still dragging on by a mouthpiece who’s an absolute piece of sh*t.”
