Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) held its early (and official) weigh ins for the UFC Vegas 104 mixed martial arts (MMA) event, which takes place this Sat. night (March 15, 2025) inside the promotion’s APEX facility in Las Vegas, Nevada.
It was not a great day on the scale, to say the least.
Multiple fighters missed weight for this weekend’s big shebang, including co-headlining attraction Chidi Njokuani. “Bang Bang” clocked it at 172.25 for his welterweight contest opposite Elizeu Zaleski (171) and will forfeit an undetermined percentage of his purse.
That money goes directly to his opponent.
Elsewhere on the card, UFC newcomer and “Contender Series” standout Diyar Nurgozhay blew up the scale at 210.5 pounds for his light heavyweight fight against Brendson Ribeiro (205.5). Like Njokuani, Nurgozhay will cough up 25 percent of his purse (payable to Ribeiro).
Lastly, Josias Musasa (136.5) missed weight for his Carlos Vera (136) bout in the bantamweight division. Musasa was expected to make a second attempt and could be on the hook for a disciplinary fine — payable to Vera — if he’s unsuccessful.
Expect an update shortly.
