Mike Tyson’s story in the boxing ring may still have some unfinished chapters after he was called out by a fellow legend of the sport.
The 58-year-old remains one of the most loved boxers on the planet, despite fighting just once professionally since 2005. After returning to the squared circle last month, Tyson has been handed the opportunity to compete again.
Following his defeat against Jake Paul, news surfaced confirming that Mike Tyson received a huge exhibition bout offer from former WBO middleweight and super-middleweight champion Chris Eubank Sr.
“Mike Tyson is my hero, I always say I have one regret in boxing and that is Michael Watson,” Eubank Sr. said during a recent Q&A. “But there is another regret I have…”
“I had asked Mike for a chance to fight him in an exhibition match and Mike, his response put me right back into my place and will always have me in my place.”
According to Chris Eubank Sr., Tyson gave a definitive answer that has stuck with him ever since.
“Mike said to me, so I’m going to impersonate him, ‘Come on man, you’re my friend.’ Wow.”
“Shameful, shameful, that is what happens when you are chasing money. I wasn’t evolved at that time, I was still trapped in the game, get money, get, get. Wow.”

Mike Tyson has been presented with another opportunity to step into the ring post-Jake Paul fight.
After losing a one-sided decision last time out, Tyson was offered a staggering amount to entertain a rematch with the YouTuber.
If the boxing icon is able to knock out Paul inside the first 3 minutes, he would receive $700 million.
The offer was given by Saudi Arabia’s Turki Alalshikh—a man playing a huge role in boxing’s recent resurgence.
