Alex Pereira, the UFC Light Heavyweight Champion, may not give Magomed Ankalaev a shot at the title over his trash talk. Pereira knocked out Khalil Rountree Jr. in his last fight at UFC 307 to defend his title. It was the third successful defense of the belt after having stopped Jiri Prochazka at UFC 295 to win the belt. Before the Rountree Jr. fight, Alex was criticized for not facing Ankalev.
