In the early morning hours of Oct. 12, Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship standout Mike Perry was arrested and charged with driving under the influence. The arrest occurred at 1:04 a.m. and Perry was held in custody for hours before being charged. At 9:41 a.m. — over eight and a half hours after his initial arrest — the 33-year-old was released after posting a bond of $1,500.
Video of Perry’s arrest has emerged showing an irate ‘Platinum’ being handcuffed and taken into custody. Perry went off on the arresting officers, verbally attacking them. On Wednesday, TMZ Sports posted the arrest video to YouTube.
Perry, a 15-fight UFC veteran, began his fighting career in 2014 and signed with the UFC two years later in 2016. The 33-year old left the fight promotion in 2021 and signed with Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship (BKFC) and revitalized his career. He quickly became the face of BKFC and is undefeated in the organization (5-0). Known for his pressing forward style and violent punching power, Perry has become a fan favorite in BKFC.
Perry made the crossover to boxing in July, taking on Jake Paul inside the squared circle. Paul defeated Perry via TKO in the sixth round.
