Font vs. Garbrandt – UFC Fight Night Predictions

Font (-115) vs. Garbrandt (-115)

For all intents and purposes this will be an MMA style boxing match. Cody has great boxing, solid footwork, good movement and hand speed & power. Font, great boxing, range striking, good scramble, they are similar fighters and fighting styles.
Cody is an aggressive striker, but his chin is gone, this gets him into trouble when he rushes in swinging and leaves him open for a KO. He’ll need to stay outside and keep control of his emotions. Font has a 6” reach advantage, good combinations and setups. Not a grappler but has an advantage on the ground. Much love to Cody’s heart, but Font by KO.

Tafa (-210) vs Vanderaa (+160)

Tafa is a heavy favourite going into this fight. He’s a slightly underrated fighter, 4-2 in his pro career. Great body and leg kicks & KO Power. Vanderaa is a lumbering heavyweight with huge strike but much slower and poor defence. Tafa by KO

Ramos (+100) vs. Algeo(-130)

Algeo is a fast paced fighter who likes to overwhelm his opponents with violence and volume. Ramos has matching striking skills, less power but better skills on the ground, which he will need to implement to win this match.

McGee (-120) vs. Claudio Silva(-110)

It’s been a rough go for Court and if he doesn’t win this fight it could be his last hurrah in the octagon. Silva is the slight favourite but also touted to win, great striker with good takedown. McGee has a 4” reach advantage and poor takedown defence. McGee has the advantage if he can keep things on the feet, but I predict this goes the ground. Silva by Dec.
