A featherweight fight between Lando Vannata and Tucker Lutz is currently in the works for the upcoming UFC card scheduled for Nov. 13.

Multiple sources close to the situation confirmed the matchup to MMA Fighting on Wednesday.

Known as one of the most exciting fighters on the UFC roster, Vannata looks to build on his recent debut at 145 pounds after he scored a split decision win over Mike Grundy in May. Vannata was on a roller-coaster ride while competing at lightweight, fighting to mixed results but also earning five performance bonuses along the way, including four Fight of the Night awards.

Following a loss to Bobby Green in 2020, Vannata made the move down to featherweight, where he found immediate success — and now he’ll look to make it two in a row when he returns in November.

As for Lutz, he’ll be seeking his second straight win since joining the UFC roster after previously competing on Dana White’s Contender Series.

In his octagon debut, Lutz won a unanimous decision over Kevin Aguilar, which pushed his overall win streak to 12 in a row with his only loss coming in his first professional fight.

Vannata and Lutz join the upcoming Nov. 13 card that’s still being put together, although UFC president Dana White previously stated that he hoped to re-book a featherweight fight between Max Holloway and Yair Rodriguez as the main event.
