Seven men are expected to be charged with a range of drug related offences after police smashed a methamphetamine ring and seized over 0000 worth of methyl amphetamine on the state’s Central Coast. In November 2009, Lake Macquarie Police formed Strike Force Chaton to investigate the ongoing manufacture and supply of large quantities of cannabis and methamphetamines across the command. As a result of ongoing investigations police executed search warrants about 8am today at homes in Argenton, Fennel Bay, Blackalls Park, Warners Bay, Rathmines and two homes in Booragul. During the warrants, a total of seven men were arrested, with a person taken into custody at each of the above locations. Police will allege one man is a member of the Comanchero outlaw motorcycle gang. All seven have been taken to Belmont and Toronto Police Station where they are currently assisting investigators with inquiries. Police expect to lay up to 50 charges including for the offences of the ongoing supply of large commercial quantities of drugs, and supply of commercial quantity of drugs.
